Mode of Action:
Mazor is a broad-spectrum post-emergence herbicide formulated for maize crops, containing Tembotrione as the active ingredient. It targets both broadleaf and grassy weeds by inhibiting the 4-hydroxy-phenylpyruvate dioxygenase (4 HPPD) enzyme, which disrupts carotenoid biosynthesis. The absence of carotenoids leads to chlorophyll degradation, causing chlorophyll bleaching and eventual weed death. The inclusion of isoxadifen, a proprietary softener, protects maize from herbicide stress and enhances crop tolerance, even under difficult growing conditions.
